The Arizona Quilt Documentation Project continues its goal to document the quilts of Arizona. The Project Committee recently announced that there are more than 700 Arizona Quilts now shared on the Quilt Index, an international website with the most extensive collection of documented quilts and data. You can view the Arizona Quilts as well as many others by visiting quiltindex.org. Use the Search feature and type in either Arizona, or the quiltmakers name if you have that information.

The AZQDP is currently busy documenting quilts in the Arizona Museums, including Arizona History Museum – Tucson, Rosson House Museum – Phoenix,  and the Gilbert Historical Society.

Documentation days are planned for:

Sierra Vista – April 18th, Ethyl Berger Center. Contact Ruth Akins quiltruth@earthlink.net for questions and appointments.

Tucson – April 11th, Arizona History Museum. Contact Sue suevette63@comcast.net or Terry terry-gw@mindspring.com for questions and appointments.
