Born in Las Vegas, raised in Colorado and Arizona, I made my first quilt top in high school.
(and still have the units and intend to finish the project soon.) My first finished quilts were photo transfer quilts – in the 70’s – for my grandparents 50th Anniversary celebrations. Then I took a class on how to do it right. I was hooked. I soon accepted a position on the Board of the Arizona
Quilters’ Guild, eventually serving as President and Show Coordinator. Previous memberships include the Phoenix Area Quilters’ Association, the Colorado Quilt Council, American Quilters Society and the National Quilting Association. Early on, I wanted to learn more about all the aspects of the art form and so took a job at Quilter’s Ranch in Tempe, AZ, moving to manager in my final three years there. I took a four year hiatus to move to Colorado to live with my last grandparent in her final years and attended Regis University for a BS in Marketing. During that time, I worked and taught at Colorado’s oldest quilt shop, Quilts in the Attic.
A return to Arizona brought the adventure of Zoe’s Trunk, a quilt shop in Chandler, AZ. It was fourteen years of learning, fun and wonderful people! Now I travel to represent multiple fabric companies serving quilt shops in Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and the Las Vegas area.
