Paradise Valley, Arizona
As long as I can remember, I have had a love of quilts. Even though my grandmother taught me to sew when I was in my early teens I never tried to make a quilt until I retired in 1998. One day I was watching “Simply Quilts” on TV and decided to try my hand at making a quilt. I quickly learned I needed more than desire to make a quilt and took some classes. Since that time, I have made many quilts for myself, my family and my friends. I am basically a traditional quilter.
I am a member Delightful Quilters and serve on their planning team as well as being secretary. I am also a member of the executive committee for the Arizona Centennial Quilt Project. My position on the committee is that of volunteer coordinator.
Since becoming a quilter I have met many wonderful people. I think quilters are some of the most talented, caring and generous people.
